Ramblings of a restless mind: November 2007 edition
26th Nov 2007
We’re getting close to that busy/crazy time of the year when credit-cards wear thin and bloggers struggle to juggle their online and offline lives. Thankfully, I’m going to be fortunate enough to spend a week at a resort on the Gold Coast before heading home to see in the new year. Between now and then however, things may (or may not) get a little quiet on this humble blog, so to tide you over I hope you enjoy this months Ramblings:
- The nerd handbook has some scarily good advice for those game enough to partner up with a nerd.
- I deleted my MySpace account this month - too much social networking is tiring… :P
- The studio my friends own has spawned a new arm to focus more on the IT/media end of things.
- World map of the internet
- PHP 6.0.0 progress.
- My favourite sites for Desktop Wallpapers (if you have additions, I would love to hear from you!)
- Wolfgang Bartelme; the man’s a genius!
- Duckfarm.net
- Merry Christmas SM2 clients.
- Mark Lobo’s new site is up and features some very slick photographs, check it out.
- A nice article on how best to deal with font-sizes on the web. This may-be old news to some, but it’s VERY important for web-developers to get this stuff!
- My dads’ wife painted me this awesome piece for my Birthday.
- So, I’m like 25 on Thursday… :S
- Apple’s Software Update utility is great for keeping the OS and Apple built products up to date, but what about all the other applications? Try this.
- I finally got the audio gear I have been waiting for, so there should be a screen-cast or two available very soon.
- Test, test and test again.
- One of my favourite interface designer/developers has been slowly working on a kick-butt issue tracking system of late and just announced that he was going to go full-time/commercial with it next year - watch this space!
- A friend of mine is working a hot little piece of web-property that you should check out if you’re like me and enthused by good-lookin automobiles.
Enjoy!
