Setting the terminal default profile
In my post on leopard I noted my disappointment in terminal when opening a new tab which seem to default to “basic” settings instead of using the “Pro” profile, for instance. Well, I hadn’t really gone searching too far for a fix to be honest and just in case I’m not the only person to oversight the fact that you can set which profile is “Default”, I will post this image:

I think the reason I got confused by this is because in the “startup” settings tab (which is the first one) it asks you which profile you want to use (on startup) - which my brain assumed meant this would be the profile I prefer always. I’m not really sure why you’d want to use a different profile on startup compared with any other time, but a short click away is the settings > window tab where you can set the Default profile properly.
So, it comes down to user-error not a lack of functionality in the app. Apple wins again…
