Make my logo bigger cream

Just wanted to quickly chime in with this little GEM!

You missed a spot

The blogosphere is alive and buzzing with activity as many a Mac-user installs their shiny new copy of Leopard. While Time Machine does an initial backup of my system (which seems to be taking eternity), I thought it would be a good opportunity to share some of my initial thoughts about this edition of Apple’s operating system.

Overall, I’m really impressed. I just want to say that up front, because the rest of this post will probably go into any quirks/annoyances I have, but on the whole it’s thumbs up from me. There’s plenty of great posts out there listing off the new features of leopard and of course the Apple website does a flawless job of flaunting the Leopard eye-candy, so I’ll try not to regurgitate any of that stuff in the remainder of this post. Ramblings of a restless mind: October 2007 edition

20th Oct 2007

It’s about time for another brain spew I reckon…

  • I’m thinking of doing some screencast’s on web-development et al, so if you have any suggestions or things you’d love to see in a screencast, I would be interested to hear from you.
  • Musicadium’s new Business Manager started this week and the new members area is so close to being launched it’s rediculous!
  • There’s a shiny new home page at ucantblamem.com - finally! :P
  • I tore down the Order Posts website and won’t be doing any more development for it. I think I’ve learned my lesson… :(
  • This video of Ron Paul is pretty stinkin popular with a record 14.5K digg’s. I actually wish I could vote for him!
  • I got roped into facebook, so feel free to look me up.
  • In the past few months TUAW has gone from being a great reporter of Mac news to a iPhone hackers lair… I emailed the guys to find out if there was a way to exclude certain categories in the feed and they hooked me up with this link, which will give you an iPhone-free feed of Mac news! It also demonstrates a really useful way of using Yahoo! Pipes.
  • I just finished up stage 1 of the new E-pro website for Olympus.
  • If you have heard of it, Ten Bills is a great place to buy cheap T’s and yes they do ship to OZ! Got five of these puppy’s in the mail myself.
  • Angels & Airwaves’ new album “i-empire” is about to hit and they’ve got some pretty sweet geeky artwork going on with the website… remind you of anything???
  • Check out google.com designed for Google (funny things are funny).
  • The boys (and girls) from Fantasy Interactive have put together a nice little screencast for Flash/Flex developers who are intrigued by Silverlight.

And that’s a wrap!
