Firefox 2.0 for Mac SUCKS!

Okay, I am about to have a fit - Firefox has once again destroyed my web-surfing experience! Yes, you did read that correctly… I am normally such a Firefox evangelist, but this latest version for Mac is so 0.1 Alpha it’s rediculous.

3 times out of ten input-fields (including the address-bar and search bars) won’t let me type anything in them and it often crashes for no reason at all! So, safari has become my new friend for the last month or so. Sadly, it too does some funny things with input fields, but at least it will let me type and get to where I want to go.

Anybody else having issues with Firefox 2.0 on Mac or is it just me?

Joomla! gets the flick

A few years ago, I’d actually looked at Mambo (the CMS Joomla! derived from) as a possible platform for the web-design company I ran with a friend of mine. It was quickly apparent that this system was bloated, un-focused and very difficult to use - so I left it in the dust and never looked back.

My make or break question for Apple TV

When I got my first iPod, there was no question that the biggest selling point for me was that I could take all of my previously bought CD’s and import them onto my iPod via iTunes. A lot later in the piece Apple (finally) opened the Australian iTunes music store and I dove into the world of buying music online. While I was somewhat skeptical of the whole idea behind buying music online, I quickly learned that my purchase was secure and if I happened to loose my music library I could download my purchased tracks again from the store - bonus! However, for a long time my iTunes library was and probably still is made up in majority by tracks imported from CD’s.
