Those crazy, yet lovable characters at Steelpixel are at it again with their LIFETIME hosting packages! So, about four, possibly five weeks ago I downloaded a little program called “Switch” which allows me to encode my music in just about any sound format you can think of.
When I downloaded it, it would allow me to encode in most formats except for MP3 - it had an error that went something like “Install-on-demand failed, please go to http://www.nch.com.au/components/ to download the MP3el component“. So, I went to that very address where every codec was available in *.exe format (windows, not MAC)! I thought it was just something to do with it being a trial version, so I purchased the software… Which didn’t help at all. In fact, it simply left me 20-something dollars out of pocket!
