Side stepping

Monday the 23rd of October, was the day that SM2 interviewed AND hired a new designer who will be joining our humble team in no less than 2 weeks. This is quite exciting and relieving as we have taken on some very big/interesting projects, which require a lot of custom programming.
So why hire a designer? Well, you may recall that I originally applied for a developer job with SM2 and was quickly snapped up to do design and multimedia development as I wasn’t very familiar with Joomla! and management felt I was a fish worth keeping. Due, to our recent high-demand for programming and my 10-month learning curve with Joomla! I am now at the point where I can use the framework fairly proficiently, hence my new title “Developer”.
Feeling the virb

I have been one of the lucky individuals testing unborn media’s new product “virb” over the last week. This extremely social butterfly is a breathtakingly AWESOME product.
Do you ever look at Myspace and think “If this was done properly this would be a really great place to be”?
A few people love it, a lot think it’s okay and then there’s the rest of us who just can’t stand looking at puke for prolonged periods of time.
